I apologise for poor spelling? Although in truth me spelling isn’t that bad, but I can never be bothered to sign out and my sister doesn’t sign in often. In truth, her ‘band’ sings poorly, they have primitive instruments, and nowhere to practice. And I don’t like Jimmy Eat World either.

This song is really very inspiring. Jimmy Eat World has a way of writing songs that are catchy but have deeper meanings also.

Can’t wait for their next album!

Spot on. This song goes much deeper than just ranting about what it’s like to be in a band.

    obviously its about life brother.
    not being a band.
hes saying theres regrets and good things too, and when its his time, he’ll go gracefully and without complaint.

hes saying hes done the best he could and hes done his part.

Not at all. The song is an honest depiction of life being a lottery and the hope of winning. Life is a big casino and we are tiny players in it. They are always intelligently written.

    lol
‘All the sex with boys was great’ is what I heard when it’s really ‘I’ll accept with poise and grace’

I don’t think it will be the LAST we will hear from them. I’m pretty sure when they were dropped by Capitol most people thought it was the last they would hear from them then but it definitely wasn’t.

obviously the song is about them as a band and how grateful they were to have been chosen to be a big band and such. i strongly believe this will be the last we hear from jimmy eat world

I beg to differ — “Rock on, young savior, don’t get up your hopes” is the most profoundly inspiring/depressing phrase I’ve ever heard.
