    To ric1989 – They were’t ‘emo’ in their early years cos ‘emo’ didn’t even exist. Static Prevails is much heavier than the new stuff but all of it is good. Do your research muppet

    To be honest, I am more of a fan of their newer stuff. Futures is my favorite so far. Their new single Big Casino sounds awesome btw. Nonetheless, their old stuff is pretty good too with this song being my favorite off Clarity.

    (continued) movie producers thought the original version of the song would be a good fit for the movie, so they used it. i guess for the soundtrack, rather than put out an old version of a song they went with this instead basically just to promote jimmy’s newer album in exchange for using “seventeen” in the film.

    this doesn’t play in the movie, just on the soundtrack.

    another song of theirs, “seventeen”, from the previous album, static prevails, originally had the lyrics “you’re only, you’re only seventeen” (which was later changed to “they’ll take you, where you won’t come back to me” since the original lyrics were too close to a winger song).
